RESULTS: 2024 Fall Classic & John Kline Championship
Southern Pines, N.C. – The first round is complete at the 2024 Fall Classic & John Kline Championship being held on the Pine Needles Course at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club. Players were treated to Chamber of Commerce weather on day one with temperatures in the mid 70s after a cool start in the morning.
Lee Porter, of Pinehurst, and David Jordan, of Montpelier, Va., share the lead in the Senior Division after matching rounds of 1-under par 70 on the famed Donald Ross design.
In the Super Senior Division, we have a three-way tie at the top at +2 between Marcus Beck, of Tallahassee, Fla., Todd Brown, of Winston Salem, N.C., and James Pearson, of Charlotte, N.C.
Peter Van Ingen, of Palm Beach, Fla., leads the Legend Division after a solid round of even par 71. He’s just one stroke ahead of Mark Weston, of Windermere, Fla.
Finally in the Super Legend Division, John Osborne, of Charlotte, N.C., will sleep on a three stroke lead after his own fine round of 1-over par 72.
